After focusing on others for a day on the blog, I want to be really selfish and do my own personal wishlist. Who knows, maybe I have a secret admirer out there who wants to drop some coins (if so slide up in the DMs and I’ll give you an address… jk jk).
Actually, my goal was not to be selfish. I am hard to buy for… It runs in the family. So, I figured that I could show you a personal wishlist with items that excite me and maybe it will get your juices flowing about gift ideas for loved ones.
I also got the opportunity to play around with the widget above. Making this was incredibly time-consuming, so I’m only including one in this guide… unless y’all really like it and let me know in the comments.
Below, you will find my personal wishlist in another format. I am not known for my subtlety.
Samsung Gear Virtual Reality • Samsung • $99.99 – There isn’t a lot of content at the moment, but I am really curious to play around with VR. I am really interested to see if there is anything that we can do on the blog to capitalize on the VR trend. I love to be on the cutting edge.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 – 128GB / Intel Core i5 – 4GB RAM • $799 – I mean, a boy can dream. Y’all might know that I was invited to attend a recent mega-event with Microsoft (you can check out my review of it here). Anyway, I don’t really expect anyone to get me a Surface Pro for Christmas, but it will be my gift to myself. I really need a new computer (absent-mindedly spilt hot tea all over my computer).
Timex ® ‘Easy Reader’ Leather Strap Watch • Timex • $50.98 – I don’t really care to wear jewelry, but when I wear a suit, I like to wear a watch. For some reason, this watch is really speaking to me. So simple and classic looking. Would make a nice addition for any man’s collection.
Six O Six Combat Boot • John Varvatos • $349 – For some reason, I am just now getting into boots. These are a bit pricey, but the quality is out of the world. I’m a firm believer in spending a little more on items as they tend to last exponentially longer. You get what you pay for.
Braun Precision Trimmer • Braun • $29 – I’m not one of those people who thinks that a gentlemen should always be clean-shaven. In fact, I love beards, but too many guys slack off. It is vital that we do the basics of beard mainentence.
Kiehl’s Since 1851 Kiehl’s Since 1851 Men’s Starter Kit • Kiehl’s • $43 – As an African American, I was raised to believe that to be ashy as almost to the level of committing a sin. No seriously. I hate being ashy and love when my face feels plump and luscious. Kiehl’s is a regular part of my self-care routine.
Wool & Cashmere Scarf • Saint Laurent • $69.99 – Not really big on labels, but this has been knocked down to affordable levels! And it isn’t a label that is over-saturated. Plus, I love scarves.
Reason Men’s Patches Camo-Print Parka Jacket with Hood • Reason • $111.99 – No one describe my style as edgy. no one. But this coat speaks to me and might be the change that I need in my routine.
ASOS Super Skinny Suit Pants In Blue • Asos • $23 – I love love fitted dress pants. I could never have too much.
ASOS Wool Mix Overcoat In Light Gray Marl • Asos • $121 – I am currently on the market for a new coat, and this one is definitely a contender!
Tan Leather Oxford Shoes • Topman • $70 – Sexy. Just sexy.
Black Varsity Bomber Jacket • Topman • $75 – Another contender in the new coat fight. I am curious if I can dress this up enough to wear to work.
Topman Borg Collar Wool Blend Peacoat • Topman • $100 – Are ya seeing a theme here. I don’t like heavy coats, so this strikes the balance of keeping me waem without making me sweat.
Stone Trench Coat • Topman • $150 – Every gentlemen needs a nice trench coat.
H&M – Cotton Shirt – Blue/chambray – Men • H&M • $12.99–14.99 – As I noted before, my style tends to be very understated. I love Asos, Uniqlo, and H&M for the basics.
H&M – Scarf – Camel – Men • H&M • $12.99 – Did I mention that I love scarves?
Men Heattech High Socks • Uniqlo • $4.95 – This applies to all of the Uniqlo items below. If you have not tried their Heattech before, then please do. As I noted, I sweat with too many layers in the winter. Heattech tights, undershirts, and socks are a godsend to people like me. And very affordable!
Men Middle Gauge Cable Crewneck Sweater • Uniqlo • $29.90 – Clean lines. Understated. Affordable. This is so me.
Men’s Cashmere V-Neck Sweater • Uniqlo • $89.90 – Who doesn’t want more Cashmere Sweaters. Well, other than vegans…
Herschel Supply Co. Little America • Herschel • $70–120 – I like my current bookbag, but love the look of Herschel bags. I want this one to use for when I stay thr night with friends.
Round frame sunglasses • J.Crew Factory • $13 – This deal is too good to be true.
Supra Skytop • Supra • $46–92.99 – Same with this one. Fly sneakrrs for less than $100?! Where they do dat at?? Supra apparently.
Lacoste V-Neck T-Shirt Set • Lacoste • $148 – Lacoste is one of very few brands that I will pay a premium for. Not sure why, but this brand has been special to me for a long time.
Topman Ripped Stretch Skinny Fit Jeans • Topman • $75 – These just look cool to me. And the price is just right.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I did not focus on our amazing partners. These are the gift that will continue to delight throughout the year.
