Yesterday, I wrote about Gifts for Novice Cooks. Having moved several times in my life, I know how to start from nothing and build up the basic kitchen. My challenge for the Cook Who Has Everything is Harder. I mean if she has everything, then how can I make a #giftguide?
I decided to focus on things that either I have and others covet or vice versa. One of the ways that you can focus your buying is by learning what flavors or regions your special someone is focused on with her cooking.
If she loves Japanese food, then a sushi making kit would be perfect.
If she is focused on Middle Eastern flavors, then a Tangine would be perfect.
And the one that will win you all the praise in the world is to give a pasta maker to someone who loves Italian food.
Below are some other highlights, but you can see the full listing of Gift Ideas for the Cook Who Has Everything on our Shoppable Pinterest Board.
BonJour Brushed Aluminum Chef‘s Torch with Fuel Gauge – The aforementioned Torch that can be used for everything from making Creme Brulee to carefully toasting the marshmallows on a Sweet Potato Pie.
AeroGrow AeroGarden Harvest Touch with Gourmet Herbs Seed Pod Kit – I love to garden and have a green thumb, but even I can be guilty of killing plants by watering them too much. This magical machine keeps you from absent-mindedly killing your plants. A great addition for anyone who loves fresh herbs… which should be everyone.
Chef’n Looseleaf Kale and Herb Stripper – I have one of these and love them. Very affordable and significantly cuts down your prep time if you are making a big pot of greens. Can also be used on herbs.
Wilton Cookie Pro Ultra II Cookie Press – Generally, when making cookies, I like them to be different sizes and look rustic. However, I do get the odd catering job and there it is important to have similar shapes and sizes so that we look professional. Another very affordable gift that I would love to get in my stocking.
DIY Canning Set – I have gotten into pickling, preserving, and fermenting and have not looked back. Customized your pickles with various spices at a fraction of the cost you spend on the mass produced varieties.
Atlas Marcato Pasta Machine, 150mm – I think my face just turned into the heart eyes emoji. This machine is beautiful and pumps out pasta that will make forget store brands forever. For now, I use it at my friend’s place, but I have it on my shortlist of things to buy for myself in 2018.
Sushi Making Kit – I love sushi. I could eat it everyday. And I can tell you from experience that having a dinner party that is centered on diy sushi is hella fun.
Fagor Lux Multicooker, Black – Here we have my next personal purchase. I love my slow cooker, but have a feeling that my instapot is going to be getting equal attention in the kitchen.
15-inch Paella Pan – Paella is delicious and easy to make. Without this pan though, you just have rice and meat. Technically, you need to make it on a Paella Pan to earn the name.
Wilton 3 Piece Mini Springform Pan Set – Black – Last but not least, we have mini-SpringForm Pans. As you can probably guess, I love having guests at dinner parties customize their meals. How awesome would it be to make little cheesecakes and have the flavors be made to order?
This was just a tasting of ideas, but you can see the full listing of Gift Ideas for the Cook Who Has Everything on our Shoppable Pinterest Board.
