“It’s Paris without the jet lag… it’s Europe without the price tag!” Those are a few of the things I heard when I told people I was taking a trip to Montreal this summer. What I discovered on my trip was that Montreal is a completely unique city all its own and has a lot to offer without comparing it to anywhere else. The city is a dichotomy of sights and sounds. The modern skyscrapers are accompanied by old world architecture. French and English are used interchangeably within the same sentence. If you want to experience Paris without the jet lag, take the red eye and sleep on the plane....

Review of Toronto’s Smith Restaurant

Hey y’all, During my trip to Toronto in August 2016, I loved many aspects of staying Downtown in the Church and Wellesley Village neighborhood (aka the gayborhood), but there was a surprising lack of high-quality dining options. So, I was lucky to find Smith Restaurant, which was not even 5 minutes from the apartment. This restaurant was heaven-sent.  I am not the only person who was impressed by this place. There is a 4-star rating on TripAdvisor, 4.4-star rating on OpenTable, and 3.5-star rating on Yelp. I was surprised by the lower rating on Yelp, but it seems that their newest ratings are higher and most people seem to be complaining...
